A Little Help From My Friends (Part Two)
Disclaimer: I own nothing! (Too bad.)
"Heero! You there?" Trowa shouted. Wufei had told him that Heero was out in the garage working on something. What, he didn't know. Heero always seemed so withdrawn from everyone and everything. Trowa began to wonder how Duo could stand him.
Whenever they got together, Duo would talk endlessly as Heero just sat there with a blank expression on his face. Every once in a while, he would glare at Duo for something he said. That was it! Then at the end of the night, he would drag Duo out by the braid to God only knows where. It was really amazing how incompatible they were with each other. And yet, somehow it worked.
"Trowa? That you?" Heero's voice was deeper than usual.
"Yeah. I was wondering if you would help me repair Heavyarms." Trowa was beginning to wonder exactly were Heero was. He could hear him, but couldn't find him among the clutter of the garage.
There was a soft sound behind him and suddenly Heero was beside him. /Oh. So that's were he was./
"Repairing the roof again, ne?"
"Yeah. It was leaking during the rainstorm last night."
Trowa glanced at the room. There were buckets half filled with water all over. /Hmmm..I didn't think it was that bad then I left./ He wished he could have been there to help instead of on his mission. Sure, destroying an Oz base is a great way to spend the afternoon, but he still felt guilty for having to leave all his work to his friends. /There was a rainstorm? There was probably lightening too. Quatre must have been scared./
"What was that you said about Heavyarms?"
"It got pretty banged up in the battle. I was wondering if you would help he repair it," said Trowa, forgetting where his last train of thought was going.
"Sure. I'll get working on it as soon as I finish the roof." Heero paused to wipe the sweat off his forehead before climbing back into the rafters.
Trowa, having nothing better to do, followed him. /Might as well work. No one else has anything they need me to do. No one needs me./

Later that night.
"Duo! This is never going to work!"
"Sure it will Quatre! Just stick to the plan and you'll be fine!" Duo stepped back to admire his work. Quatre was standing there, wearing nothing but a red satin bathrobe. He looked nervous.
"Duo.I just don't know. This seems so out of character for me." /I can't believe I let Duo talk me into this! I must be desperate./
Duo chuckled to himself. "I know it's out of character! That's why it will work! Neither you nor Trowa are the type to make the first move. That's why I'm here!"
Quatre looked down at his feet. /I hope this works. If it doesn't, I don't know what I'll do./
Noticing Quatre's uncertainty, Duo picked up a bottle of wine and handed it to him. "Most important Q, relax and let it flow."
Quatre's hands grasped the bottle. He read the label over to himself to avoid meeting Duo's mischievous eyes. /Gosh! Duo really didn't spare any expense throwing together this plan!/
"Duo this is a bottle of."
"Don't worry about it Q! If you're going to do this, you've got to do it right!"
"But Duo, where did you find the."
"For the last time! Don't worry about it!" Duo said, cutting him off. Quatre was staring at him in disbelief. The look on his face was priceless. Duo wished he had a camera.
Quatre began to tear up. No one had ever done something like this for him before. "Oh. Thank you Duo!" Quatre flung his arms around the braided boy, nearly knocking both of them over.
"Cool it Quatre! Gosh! Save it for Trowa!" Duo's comment made Quatre blush. He looked so cute when he did that!
"You really think it will work?"
"Of course I do! If I didn't, I wouldn't be helping you!" Duo smiled one last time to reassure Quatre before turning towards the door.
"Got to go Q! Heero is probably wondering where I am, and I'd hate to keep him waiting." With that, Duo left in a fit of mad laughter.
Quatre just stared at the door for awhile before finishing setting up. /(sigh) I don't know how Duo does it. I'd better hurry. Trowa will be coming in soon./

Meanwhile.down the hallway.
"Heero! Heero? You in here?" Duo glanced around their room. Heero was nowhere to be found.
"Right here Duo."
Duo jumped in surprise. Heero had blended in with the shadows of the room. He was just sitting there staring at Duo. His bright blue eyes seemed to illuminate the darkness all around.
"I was waiting for you Duo."
"I know, I know. I was helping Quatre with something and tried to get back here as soon as possible." Duo said, jumping into Heero's lap.
"Exactly what were you helping Quatre with?" Heero whispered. His hand brushed against Duo's face, slowly moving to the back of his neck. Heero pulled Duo's lips towards him.
"Nothing. He just needed some advice." Duo's voice trailed off as he began kissing a trail along Heero's jawbone.
Heero sighed and leaned back is his chair, mind going numb with Duo's seductive stimulation. "Really. Advise on what?" The words came out low and heavy. Heero could barely keep his mind in focus.
"Just stupid stuff really. You know.how to respond to things, what to do about this, what to say about that.the usual." Duo mouth moved to nibble on Heero's earlobe.
Heero wrapped his arms around his lover and drew him closer.
"Duo.I love you."
Duo's voice came out quiet as he whispered in Heero ear.
"I love you too Heero."
