Not knowing what else to do, Duo agreed with Milliardo's insane plan and left work only half way through the day. A part of him really did want to maybe pursue a relationship with the very interesting and very different Milliardo Peacecraft.
But part of him painfully realized that he'd just had the first nice conversation with Heero Yuy since the older man had found out he was a boy.
And Milliardo had gone and ruined it for them.
What was he thinking? It was stupid to even imagine having a relationship with Heero now. That conversation was as `friendly acquaintances' only, maybe even future friends, but definitely not possible lovers.
So why did he feel like he'd just left Heero in the middle of a date to run off with Milliardo?
It had taken two weeks, three lunches at work, and A LOT of persuasion on Milliardo's part, but finally Duo had agreed to go on a date with him.
And it was for this reason that he was now standing on his employer's huge porch getting ready to alert the servants that he'd arrived at the mansion, the same one he thought he'd never see again.
Since Duo wanted nothing romantic, and had flat out refused to go out to a nice dinner at that wonderful new restaurant `La Pamplemousse'. So Milliardo had suggested something much more informal, a day spent at his home, just the two of them all alone with his many servants to enjoy his many facilities.
There was lots for them to do at his enormous mansion, indoor swimming, basketball, tennis, workout room, and anything else that the braided boy could possibly think of.
Milliardo was extremely happy about the whole arrangement, just satisfied that he was making some kind of progress with the attractive youth. And Duo had to admit that a day at the older man's house would probably be about as fun as going to an amusement park, or even more so.
Truth was he was ecstatic, he was finally dating again! Who cares if that meant that his co-workers would now have a real reason to hate him or that for once and all it made him look like a liar in front of Heero! He was doing something for HIMSELF, something he hadn't done since he'd met Heero.
He was going to go on this date and be happy about it, if it was the last thing he did.
Satisfied with his decision, Duo lifted up one of his cold hand and knocked loudly on the huge wooden doors, all the while clutching Heero's jacket closer for warmth.
The sound of Duo diving into the heated water echoed throughout the large pool house. Milliardo couldn't stop himself from looking as the braided man swam gracefully through the water.
Of course, as soon as Duo had arrived, the taller man had suggested that they go for a swim, hoping to once again get a glimpse at Duo's near naked body, but this time while the he was a bit more healthy.
Milliardo was not disappointed.
Duo's slim figure and delicate features were enough to make the very much aroused man want to either take the young man right there in the pool, or have an extremely cold shower instead. Everything about the braided youth attacked his senses, turned him on and generally made him want to ravish the boy every minute of the day, and the night for that matter.
Finished with his laps, Duo climbed out of the poor and sauntered over to where Milliardo stood, droplets of water trailing down his soft skin, much to the other man's great enjoyment and frustration.
"Say Milliardo, aren't you going to enjoy the pool?"
An evil grin appeared on the blonde's face as he encircled his arms around the younger man's still damp waist. "No, I'd much rather enjoy you."
Duo blushed at the words, but immediately squirmed out of the embrace, feeling just a bit too close for comfort.
Loosening his grip on the young man, Milliardo's grin turned feral, enjoying the cat and mouse game Duo seemed to be playing with him.
"My dear Duo, you are too good looking for your own good. How do you expect me to keep my hands off of you? Why, if I looked as good as you, I'd NEVER take my hands off myself! In fact, maybe you should demonstrate how that would work!"
Laughing at Milliardo's forwardness, Duo grabbed an offered towel and started to dry himself off a bit. "Nice try, but you're going to have to come up with much better pickup lines if you ever expect me do THAT in front of you."
Moaning at the thought of Duo pleasuring himself before him, Milliardo once again tried to trap the young boy between his arms. "How's this then? `Legs! Legs! Legs are the word, let's go back to my room and spread the word.'"
Getting free once again, Duo tossed the wet towel at the older man's face in amusement. "Nice try, but no chance."
Unfazed, Milliardo still continued while Duo walked off in the opposite direction. "Are those spacepants you're wearing, because your ass is out of this world!"
"Ouch, not even close. I'm not even wearing pants."
"Trust me I know, but your ass is still out of this world."
Duo was now standing at the doorway, which led to the main house. He was going to go and have a nice long shower in the guest washroom to wash out all the chlorine in his long hair. Duo still couldn't believe that the house was so big it didn't' just have a washroom per bedroom, it even had a guest washroom for day guests, complete with it's own shower, Jacuzzi, and other toiletries. Some modern day hotels weren't even as well equipped as this guest bathroom.
Milliardo cried out with his last attempt. "I wish I were a tear, for then I could be born in your eyes, live on your cheek, and die at your luscious, luscious lips."
"Much better, but I'm afraid you're still too far off." He then spun around and left his employer standing alone in the large pool house with a huge grin plastered to his face.
The fact that Duo resisted his small attempts amused the rich man to no end. The more the braided boy showed no interest in sex, the more Milliardo was sure that that was what was in store for the two of them.
Throwing the wet towel in the air, Milliardo let out a small laugh of amusement and headed towards the kitchen. He had a lunch to make... or at least an order to make.
Though thoughts of joining Duo in the shower did cross his mind.
He didn't get very far away from the pool house before his butler appeared before him announcing the arrival of two very unwanted guests.
"Miss Relena and Mr. Yuy are here to see you sir."
Blinking at the old man in shock, he said the first thing that came to his mind. "Why?"
"I'm don't know sir, but I'll be sure to ask them if you wish for it."
Waving the old man away, Milliardo resigned himself to his fate. If he hurried he could have them gone before Duo was back from his shower. At the mention of Duo in the shower, all thoughts of his pestering sister were soon forgotten.
Walking into the living room, Milliardo greeted his only living relative with a forced smile.
"Relena, how nice of you to visit. And look, you've brought Heero, how wonderful." Pulling his smiling sister into a tight hug, he glared dangerously at his employee over her shoulder in warning. The look was completely lost on the uncaring man. "So what brings you to visit my humble abode. It's not wedding plans is it?"
Relena swatted her brother playfully before taking Heero's arm in her own. "No, silly, Heero hasn't proposed... yet. We just came to visit you for the day. I thought that you and my dear Heero could get to know each other a bit better."
"Relena... we work together."
"Yes, well that's fine and everything, but you see. The last few weeks have been so special for the both of us. I knew that after he left me he would come to his senses and return to me, and he has. It's been worth the wait."
Milliardo couldn't help but feel nauseous upon hearing his sister's tale of love. He was willing to bet a million dollars he still hadn't slept with her. No, they were both too busy being prudes to even consider such a wonderful thing as sex.
"Well sister dear, I'm afraid I have bad news, I couldn't possible take the day off to spend with Heero. As much as the thought makes me so incredibly happy, I have way too much boring work to do. He'd be dreadfully bored. We'll just have to reschedule."
The look of anguish on his sister's face was quickly replaced by a look of malice. There was no way he could just kick her out, she had too much power in the family business, and if he pissed her off enough, she might make good of her threats and participate in the work. He'd lose the business in less than a day, he was sure of it.
Milliardo quickly recovered his tracks. "But I'd be more than happy to space myself from work for a short visit, it's the least I can do, being your loving brother and all."
Inside he just prayed that Duo took extremely long showers. If the braided boy was still in the shower when he got rid of these two pests, he might still join the boy. Now that was a nice thought.
"Milly! MILLY! Are you even paying attention."
"Of course Relena, I've just got so much work on my mind. It's hard sometimes. Just be thankful you don't have to deal with it.
The conversation dragged on and on, Relena talking the entire time while Heero remained silent as always at her side. His cold features, making it impossible for Milliardo to even know if the man wanted to be here in the first place, though he doubted it.
Twenty minutes had already gone by the time Heero decided to say something.
"May I use your restroom?"
Rolling his eyes as Relena completely ignored the man she was `in love' with and started discussing possible dates for him. Milliardo pointed him the right direction. "It's upstairs, third door to the right."
Heero nodded his thanks to the man still sitting down, and headed up towards the restroom without another word; just as eager as Milliardo was, to get away from the dull conversation.
The mansion consisted of many corridors, and just as many staircases. Soon it became clear to the young man that Milliardo's directions might not have be as helpful as he'd first thought.
Rounding another corner, Heero finally came to the staircase he was looking for and heading upstairs, suddenly aware of the abnormal amounts of staff on duty in this part of the house. Maybe Milliardo was planning a party, he thought to himself.
Reaching the top of the stairs, Heero quickly flagged down one of the maids and asked for some directions. The small lady smiled up at the young man as she folded some more bedding, Silk, Heero noted.
"Excuse me ma'am, where would the Guest Washrooms be?"
"Oh, just around the corner sir, you can't miss it."
"Thank you" He then left the lady to continue her work and walked in the direction she had pointed in. Heero thought that maybe the house was too big for even Milliardo, he'd given the wrong directions to the washroom. Then again, maybe he'd done that on purpose, his idea of fun.
Pushing the door open silently, Heero was surprised to find that he was now in a carpeted change room, which was directly connected to the toilets by a closed door.
No matter how grand Relena's house had been, it was nothing compared to Milliardo's mansion. He couldn't help but look around the small room. It contained a large mirror that lined the walls, various couches to sit down in, and tables exhibiting rare art.
Picking up some sort of odd sculpture on one of the tables, Heero examined it closely until he heard the connecting door open behind him. He quickly spun around to hide the fact that he'd just been playing with a sculpture, he still held it in his hands behind his back.
But what he saw made him drop it and forget about the sculpture all together.
There, standing before him in all his glory, was a very attractive, very wet and very naked Duo Maxwell who was combing out his damp hair before he dried it out.
The sound of the sculpture hitting the floor was enough to make him look up in surprise and stare straight into Heero's shocked and very wide eyes.
For a long moment neither man made a sound, Duo because he was still too surprised to be seeing the last person he'd expected to see in his shower room, and Heero because he couldn't turn his eyes away long enough to form any thing closely resembling coherent thought.
When he could finally think again, all his thoughts were centered on the amazing view he was now witnessing. Duo was absolutely gorgeous; there was no possible way he could deny that.
The young man before him had a long slender body that was well toned and contained hidden muscles all over. His legs were another thing altogether, just amazing, his torso equally so, and his hair... his hair was let down all around him, just like it had been on their only date. But this time it was wet and framed his lean frame, clinging to every curve and flat expanse his body had to offer.
Suddenly feeling very, very warm all over, Heero let out a shallow breath that he'd been holding the whole time. He was not sure what to say, or do for that matter, in the now increasingly confusing situation. All he really wanted at the moment was to touch every inch of that exposed body presented before him, including the large member, which hung freely from between Duo's milky thighs. And he might have done just that had the younger man not chosen that exact moment to finally speak up.
"What... what are you doing here?" His voice was weak, uncertain and a bit afraid. Some small part of his brain feared the Heero might think he had planned all this in some way. The look on the dark haired man's face wasn't helping his fears any. He was sure Heero wanted to just turn around in disgust and run away for good, anything to get away from him.
But instead he just stood there, frozen like a deer caught in the headlights.
"Duo... " No other words came from his lips, he was afraid of just what he might say if he continued. The blood that rushed furiously throughout his body had now finally found it's way to his head, causing him fall to his knees unceremoniously.
Without a second thought, Duo dropped his brush and ran over to help the fallen man, helping him to sit back on the carpeted floor. "HEERO! What's wrong? Are you sick? Are you hurt? Do you need something to drink? I'm sorry if I upset you, I didn't know you were coming today, honestly. I don't want to hurt you anymore, I'm sorry, I'm really sorry."
The hurt and anguish in Duo's voice brought the dark haired man back to the present as he gathered in his surroundings once again.
Which wasn't necessarily a good thing.
Realizing just how close Duo's naked body was pressed up against him, Heero had to take a deep breath to compose himself, knowing all too well that his own body had reacted quite strongly to the close proximity.
Slowly getting up with the aid of Duo's slender hands, the dark haired man leaned against a table for support, preferring that to the younger man's still very naked body.
"Why are you here?"
The question completely caught Duo off guard, he'd been so wrapped up in first his embarrassment, and then the other man's well being that he'd forgotten just how this might look to an outsider.
"I... I... we're on a date... so to speak."
Nodding slowly as if that made that made all the sense in the world, Heero got up to leave the room.
"Oh, then I'll be on my way and leave you two alone." His words sounded weak even to his own ears.
Misunderstanding their meaning, Duo quickly stopped the other man from leaving the room, trying his best to be defensive while standing utterly naked in front of the one man he couldn't stop thinking about.
Heero averted his gaze.
"It's not what you think! I'm not sleeping with him for the job, Hell... I'm not even sleeping with him. I just came over for a date and I went swimming, so of course I had to wash the chlorine out afterwards. But like I said, I don't care about the job, I wouldn't' dream of stealing any promotions or anything, in fact if you want I'll quit, I'll tell Milliardo right away that it's not a good idea for me to work there anymore. Please Heero, don't be mad at me, not when we were just starting to get along again."
Duo was blabbering, and he knew it, but it was what he did when he became nervous, extremely nervous.
Sidestepping the young man, Heero opened the door to leave, turning against his will only stare at Duo one last time with his sad blue eyes.
"I'm not mad at you Duo, I'm just a little confused right now. Now if you don't mind, I have to leave with my girlfriend who is, as we speak, making wedding arrangements for a fiancé who has not yet to proposed to her. So have a fun date, and I'll see you at work on Monday."
He then exited the room as silently as he had entered it.
By the time Duo had gotten dressed and dried his hair off to his satisfaction, Milliardo was knocking on the door, eager to see his young date once more.
"Damn, I was hoping to catch you coming out of the shower."
The look that passed over the other man's face caused Milliardo to quickly rephrase his words. "I was just joking... well, for the most part. Why so glum now, did you miss me that much?"
Giving his date a reassuring smile Duo decided it would be easier to just agree instead of explaining everything that had transpired. "Yes, that's it."
"Good, cause I missed you too. You'll NEVER believe what just happened. I had to spend the last forty minutes entertaining my sister and that annoying fiancé of hers. They came over while you were in the shower, I was hoping you'd just stay up here until they left, not that I'm embarrassed about you being here. But if my sister saw you we might never get to be alone."
"Great? Duo is there something wrong?"
Duo decided he'd had enough and just wanted to go home. "You know, I'm really not feeling good anymore. I'm really sorry, but I just want to go home right now."
Looking at the boy with concerned eyes, Milliardo instantly knew he was telling the truth. The young man was extremely pale, and there was a look of exhaustion that surrounded him.
"Don't worry about it, I'll have my finest chauffeur drive you home. Don't worry about it for another second. Would you like me to call my doctor?"
Getting up quickly and grabbing the rest of his belongings Duo led Milliardo out the door. "No, that's ok, I'd love the drive though. I just need to go home and get some rest."
By the time the two had reached the hallway closet, the chauffeur was already waiting outside for him to leave.
Turning to face the older man, Duo gave him a questioning look. "Milliardo, where's my coat?"
"You're coat, oh, it's just over there on the couch, sorry I forgot to put it back in the closet."
Duo walked over to retrieve the misplaced item. "Why'd you take it out in the first place." He asked curiously.
"Oh I didn't, it was Heero."
Duo stopped dead in his tracks, just inches away from picking up the forgotten jacket. "Heero?"
"Yeah, he just put it on like it was his, saying something to Relena about how he must of left it here last time he came to visit, or something silly like that. But as you can see, I stopped him and explained to his overly simple mind that this was in fact you're jacket, not his, and that you've had it since before we first met. In fact, as I again explained to him, it is the very reason for our first meeting. So there was no way I was going to let him just walk out with your most valuable jacket, no matter how much he insisted it was his."
Putting the jacket on, Duo walked back to where Milliardo was standing, feeling worse and worse with each word. "What did he say to that?"
"Well, as soon as I told him about it being yours, he apologized and simply said, `Sorry, my mistake.' Can you imagine? For a supposed genius he's not too bright. How can you mistaken a jacket as one in a kind as that one, for whatever he owned."
"Maybe it was similar." Duo suggested, knowing full well why he had `thought' it was his own.
"Well I don't care, any reason to talk down to him was more than welcome in my opinion. Though I have to say that he was acting quite odd after he came back from the restroom. He seemed, oh I don't know, like he was lost or something. Maybe Tina, that new waiter of mine, had a quickie with him. I hear she's everything a straight man looks for in women, and she's had her eye on him ever since she saw him a few weeks ago at my downtown picnic. Well nothing we have to worry about. Hopefully he'll be married to my delightful sister within the month and we can be rid of them both, maybe they'll move to France, or better yet Australia. Far away from the both of us."
Duo felt even worse than before, if that was possible.
Saying his good byes, and thanking Milliardo for the wonderful morning, Duo finally took his leave of the house. Once outside, he quickly climbed into the awaiting black limo, telling the old man where he lived, though it was hard to remember, he still seemed to be in some sort of daze.
The black limo then drove off through the large gates that would lead them back to the city; the sound of leaves crunching underneath the large vehicle as it drove on.
Well? Well????? WELL??? Ok, I'm nervous about this part. FEEDBACK, PLEASE. I'm feeling very nervous right now. (I'm so mean to my poor Duo and Heero aren't I?)
Oh one scary fact, while verifying the spelling of Pamplemousse (Grapefruit) I ACTUALLY came across a Pamplemousse restaurant in Las Vagas on the net. Now THAT'S just scary.
