>>Good evening, and welcome to Jenny Jones.<< The man's voice coming from the speakers was followed by a loud applause, and a blond woman entering the studio.

"Good evening. Tonight's topic is..."

>>I have to say goodbye, cause I've found a guy.<<

She rolled her eyes. Who makes up these phrases anyway? They seem to get worse each time. She'll have to talk to the producer about it. But none of her thoughts could be read, as she smiled broadly for the camera.

"Yeah, you've heard it! We have three couples here tonight whose lives are going to change, as their lovers have found someone else. But the most interesting story of all is the first one. Here we have a guy leaving his girlfriend for another man. Take a look at this."

She smiled again and pointed to the large screen with her hand, just as the sequence started.

It showed a young man, about twenty five years old, dressed in jeans, green tank top, and a jacket. By the way he looked, it was obvious he had Japanese blood in him, but his eyes were blue, and his hair dark brown. It made him look exotic, maybe even wild. His body was perfect; muscular, but not too much so. All in all, he was drop dead gorgeous, putting everyone in the room in a trance-like state, as they stared at him.

>>My name is Heero Yuy. I came to this show to make a confession to my girlfriend Relena. I am gay, and everyone already knows that... Well, everyone except her. It's about time I told her, as I want to move on with my life.<<

"Heero, come on out," Jenny said, grinning unnaturally wide.

Heero stood in the back room, waiting to be called, nervous like he'd never been in his life. He knew Relena was possessive and obsessed with him and that she wouldn't take this well. Also, he felt sorry for her. They'd been together for almost two years and he thought of her as a good friend, but nothing more. He hated doing this to her, but it had to be done. He kept repeating that to himself over and over.

He was so deep in thought that he'd almost missed Jenny's voice asking him to come in. The sliding door which separated him from the studio and the audience, slowly started opening and he could hear a loud applause. Good. At least they were on his side.

He looked at the crowd. Man, there were so many people. He hated big groups of people and large gatherings. Probably because he was a shy person and all those strangers made him feel uncomfortable.

Worrying about the crowd, he didn't notice the doorstep and he tripped landing face first on the floor. He cursed himself mentally. Great first impression! And to think this was national television.

The crowd was laughing as he pushed himself off the floor, knowing well that he was as red as a tomato.

"Are you ok?" he heard the blonde ask him, and he simply nodded, feeling too humiliated to form any words. He moved to the chair and seated himself.

"So, we've heard why you're here; you are about to leave your girlfriend. But why now, after two years? Didn't you know you were gay before?"

Heero blinked at her. What kind of a question was that?

"Of course I knew. I didn't break up with her, as she really is a nice person... She is a dear friend of mine and I didn't want to hurt her. All this time I was trying to make myself love her. But I just can't feel more than friendship..."

"I see. How did you two get together in the first place?"

"Well, my parents aren't really open minded people... That's why I couldn't tell them. They noticed there was something 'wrong' with me, as I didn't have a girlfriend, and started asking questions. They even went that far to introduce me their friends' daughters, so that I would maybe like some of them. And every time one of my friends came over, they'd ask: "Is that your girlfriend?" So, one day, I just said yes. When I said that, I hoped Relena would keep quiet, and let me explain it to her later. But what I hadn't expected was for her to glomp me and kiss me right then and there. That's how it all started... I just couldn't break her heart."

"So why do you want to do it now?"

Heero blushed. "There is someone else..."

"Oh." Jenny smiled at the boy's reaction. "Well, are you ready to tell her?"

"I guess so."

"Bring Relena in," she said to one of the members of the staff.

Relena was sitting in a secluded room, so she couldn't hear anything Heero said. She didn't know why he wanted her to come here, but she had a pretty good idea. This must be one of those shows when boyfriends ask their girls to marry them. It was so sweet. She'd never thought Heero was the kind of person that would want to do it on television, but it really didn't matter to her, just as long as she heard him say those four words.

She laid back in the chair, her eyes closed and mind miles away. She was already picturing their wedding. She would walk regally down the aisle toward her Heero, who would stand smiling and waiting for her at the altar. Everyone would gasp in amazement at how beautifully radiant she was in her wedding gown...

"Excuse me, miss?"

Her eyes shot open and she blinked at the man standing in front of her.

"It's time."

Her grin instantly returned. "Oh!" She was so happy and excited, it took all the will power she had to keep herself from running to the studio.

The door opened and a blond girl entered. The crowd welcomed her with applause and a few looks of sympathy. She walked past Jenny and straight to Heero.

"I do."

He blinked. And again. And again. What the...? But before he had any more time to think, Relena set on his lap and hugged him.

"I can't believe we're getting married! I'm so happy!"

It took Jenny a few moments to process what had just happened. Poor girl, she had some serious problems.

Heero was trying to get out of Relena's grip, but she held tightly, with no intention of letting him go. Normally inexpressive cobalt blue eyes begged silently for Jenny to stop the torture. Please. With a bullet to the head if necessary.

After seeing the desperate look in the Japanese boy's eyes, Jenny finally spoke.

"Ahem. Excuse me for interrupting, but could you please move to a separate chair?"

Relena looked up, the grin never leaving her face, and did as she was told. As he felt the weight lift off of him, Heero let out a sigh of relief.

"Well, do you know why you're here?"

"Heero has a surprise for me."

"That's right. And do you have any idea what that might be?"

"I do." She grinned even wider, if it was possible. "He's going to ask me to marry him!"

"Umm... Why don't you let him tell you? Heero, are you ready?"

"As ready as I'll ever be." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Here goes...

"Relena, we were together for almost two years now, and I want you to know that you are very dear to me..."

She nodded, urging him to continue, already forming her lips to say 'I do'.

"You are the best friend I've ever had. But... that's just it. You are only a friend. I can't love you in the way you love me... I'm gay."

Relena stared dumfounded at him. This was not possible. Heero loved her. He wanted to marry her. They were gonna live together forever and ever and have many children... So why was this happening? How?

"Whaaaaaaaat?" she asked, anger building up inside her. "No. You're lying. You can't be gay."

"Why would I lie?"

"I don't know, but you are! You were my boyfriend! You kissed me! You can't be gay!"

"Kisses mean nothing, Relena... It's not like we've ever slept together, I know I wouldn't be able to do that."

"But how can you tell me this now, after proposing..."

"I did not propose to you!!"

"But you... Oh, yeah." She smiled sheepishly and blushed.

Jenny smirked. "I hope you learned not to jump to conclusions. So, are you two going to stay friends?"

Heero nodded immediately, Relena did as well, though she took considerably longer. She would never be able to see him with anyone else, male or female. He belonged to her. There was no way he would be able to find someone else, especially not with her around to 'help.' She would just have to be patient until he realized how much he really loved her.

"That's great. Now Heero, is there someone special in your life?"

Heero nodded shyly, face turning a light shade of pink.

"Tell us a little about him. What's his name? And are you two together?"

"No... I don't really know him all that well. I met him one night at a club and we only talked that once, but he's so beautiful and has the most amazingly vibrant personality. His name is Duo, by the way."

As Heero spoke, the screen changed to show the image of another boy, standing in a room with large headphones over his ears. They were obviously playing some music to him, as his lips were moving and his hips swinging to a rhythm only he could hear.

The boy had long hair reaching to his thighs, neatly plaited in a braid. His right eyebrow was pierced, as well as his ear... in several places. His clothes were so tight, they seemed like the second skin, showing his perfectly proportioned body.

Relena looked from Heero to the screen several times before she heard applause and saw the boy take a seat beside Heero. He'd already found someone??

"Hi Duo, and welcome to the show."

"Hey Jenny!"

"Do you remember Heero?"

"Of course, how could I forget him?" he said grinning, and Heero felt himself blush yet again.

"Well, he has something to tell you. Go ahead, Heero."

"Thanks, Jenny. Well... you see... I've just broken up with my girlfriend and confessed to her that I'm gay, so I was wondering if you wanted to... um... get together some time?"

As soon as he'd finished, Relena jumped off her chair and screamed. "Noooooooooo!!" She grabbed Heero's shoulders and started shaking him. "You are not gay! You are NOT gay! You hear me? YOU love me. You LOVE me. You love ME!!!"

In a matter of seconds the security arrived and caught the crazy girl. They had to drag her away while she still screamed at Heero, repeating that he loved her.

"What was that all about?"

"She's feeling a little hurt, that's all."

"Oh. What's it like when she's hurt a lot then?"

"You don't want to know. So... about my question..."

"I'd love to." Duo said smiling, as he leaned over and captured Heero's lips with his own. As they kissed the crowd cheered, giving them a standing ovation.
