This is a sequel to 'The Shadows Dance', which is available on my webpage at http://www.millenicom.com/nagisa/ninsfic/ . This story will also appear there. You probably won't get this story unless reading that. Even though, <shrug>, you never know.
There is another sequel planned to this. But, since it took a few months to do this, it'll probably be a while (And, yes, I am working on my unfinished stories...)
Pairings: 1x2/2x1 (In future, anyway... if the characters will cooperate!)
Warning: Cussing, mention of rape, torture, and general evilness. Nothing graphic, but it ain't a pretty picture. This definitely isn't in the same vein as 'Shadows Dance'.
If you don't have previous permission to archive, please ask beforehand.
Thanks to comet for listening to me gripe while writing this, and coming up with the title.

The dark robed woman called to him, drew him. There was something about her that made him want to tell her every secret and fulfill her every whim.
"Tell me, Captain," she said with an alluring smile, "Did you enjoy raping that Gundam pilot?"
"Show me the rest of your face, and I'll tell you," the OZ Captain replied.
"Tell me first."
"Yes, I did. The asshole had it coming."
The mysterious woman leaned forward, allowing the Captains eyes to see below the neckline of the tight-fitting dress she wore. The dress covered her from head to neck and was skintight from the knees to elbows, the fabric belling out to cover her feet and hands. An attached cowl covered all but the lower portion of her face. The only portion of her creamy white skin showing was her upper chest and lower face, but the captain didn't mind the view. "Where you under any orders?" she asked softly.
"No, I just took the initiative," the Captain leered.
"You raped him for you're own personal gratification?"
"Yeah... but, why do you want to talk abut that? I can think of more interesting things to 'discuss.' And, you promised to remove your hood."
"I can think of nothing more important to me," the woman replied. She reached up, the sleeves of her dress falling together to cover her face as she pulled her hood back.
The Captain screamed when she lowered her arms and her bare head was revealed. Where a beautiful woman had been hidden under the cowl, there was now a grinning skull with glowing lavender eyes.
"There is nothing more important than the welfare of my son," the skull said, her voice now reverberating.
"Your... your son?" the captain asked, trying to back away from the advancing horror before him. But, he was stuck in place and the woman's glaring skull was soon inches from his face.
"You raped the son of Death. For that, you will pay," she hissed. Leaning back, she waved an arm and a scythe with a black crystal blade appeared. "I can't kill you, as it isn't your time. But, you'll wish you were dead."
The Captain's verbal screams were soon muffled by the medical technicians. But, mentally, he screamed for the rest of his pathetic life, which consisted of him mentally replaying what he did to the Gundam Pilot known as Shinigami, but this time, it was him being raped.
"I really need to stop talking to you when you're not asleep," Death commented as she followed Heero through the halls leading to her son's cell.
"Hn," was the Japanese pilot's only response. "Why are you here?"
"Taking care of someone who needed a lesson. Actually, I'm surprised you can see and hear me," she said wistfully as she walked through a corner and appeared on the other side. "I've always wished Duo could see me."
"He isn't ready," Heero replied quietly.
"I'm not going to let you kill him, you know," Death pointed out as Heero entered an elevator. She calmly walked through the closed doors and stood next to the man.
"I may have no choice."
"There's always a choice. Always."
Heero grunted and rolled out of the elevator, landing in a crouch to peer around a corner for enemy troops.
"Tell him when you see him..." Death trailed off then, shook her head, almost making her cowl fall off. "No, I'll tell him later... Just, be careful with him. They weren't easy on him."
"How?" Heero asked, stopping in his tracks to stare at the ghostlike woman beside him.
"I'll just say it was bad," Death said as she started to fade away.
Heero glared at the spot the personification of mortality had stood before continuing on his way to rescue the man he loved.
"Sssssh, love, it's all right."
Looking up at the woman cradling him in her lap, Duo sniffled. "Mom?"
"Where have you been?"
Death sighed, running a hand down her son's back. "This is the first time I've been able to slip in before you went into a nightmare. It'll be all right now."
"No, it won't," Duo replied, giving a vigorous shake of his head. "Something bad happened."
"You were captured," Death said with a sigh, tightening her hold on her son. "Want to tell me about it?"
"They... they hurt me," Duo said, hiding his head in the lap of her dress.
"I know, love." Death ran her hand across the braided man's scalp in a soothing, petting motion.
"Why... why did they..." Duo choked up and sobbed. Taking a deep breath, he continued. "I could have handled beatings or physical torture. I would have just healed and bounced back. But..."
Death looked down at her son and felt a mixture of sadness and anger. Sadness that she couldn't do more to help her son, and anger at the men who had done such a thing. "You don't have to say anymore, Shi-kun. I know."
Duo's head snapped up. "You... you know? No, you can't!" Shaking his head, he tried to push away from his mother.
"Stop it, young man," Death said sternly. "I didn't know about it until after it happened. But, I know. And, I also know there wasn't anything you could have done to stop it. So, stop feeling guilty. Is that understood?"
Duo gulped. "Not really."
"Well, then. I guess I'll just have to tell you that a few more times," Death replied, gathering her son to her for a hug. "And, you need to talk to others about this too. Especially Heero."
"He'd hate me."
Hearing the scared tone, Death sighed. "I doubt anything you do or say would make that boy hate you, dear."
"I barely got him to admit that we're friends. I'm not giving that up over something as trivial as this."
"Trivial?!" Death exclaimed, shocked.
Looking up into his mother's glowing eyes, Duo nodded, still in her embrace. "He'd say something like 'Hn, get over it, baka. We have missions to preform.'"
"I *seriously* doubt that he would say that," Death replied. "Tell him. And, why haven't you told him you love him?"
Duo shook his head. "No, I can't."
The two sat in silence for a bit before Death continued. "Would it make you happy to know that the Captain will never bother you or anyone ever again?"
"What do you mean?" Duo asked, stiffening.
"No one messes with my son," Death replied, her voice icy. "No one." Looking up, she sighed and tightened her hold on Duo. "But, it looks like you're about to wake up. I'll talk to you later, chibi-chan."
"Mom! I'm not little!" Duo exclaimed as he opened his eyes.
"Hn," Heero said, shaking Duo awake.
"Ummm... hey, Heero!" Duo said, blushing slightly. "Did I..."
"Wake up," Heero commanded as he went off to grab his clothes for the day. "You were dreaming about your mother again?"
"Yeah," Duo said, running a hand through his bangs. "It was... nice."
Heero nodded. "I was doing research last night," he said. "What I found is up on the laptop. You might find it interesting." After making his statement, the Japanese pilot disappeared into the bathroom.
Duo stretched and yawned before walking over to the desk Heero's laptop was sitting on. Scratching the back of his neck, he sat down and started to read a death certificate.
'Why would Heero want me to see...' Duo's thoughts stopped abruptly as he saw the picture attached to the death certificate. It was the Captain who had been placed in charge of his 'interrogation' and who had raped him.
Captain Charles T. Nelop.
Cause of Death: Suicide.
Notes: Captain Nelop had suffered severe mental disturbances for several
weeks prior to his death. In his dementia, and during the guard change, he
killed himself by slitting his wrists with glass from a broken light bulb.
C&C Definitely welcome...
