// You treat me like I was your ocean
You swim in my blood when it's warm
My cycles of circular motion
Protect you and keep you from harm
You live in a world of illusion
Where everything's peaches and cream
We all face a scarlet conclusion
But we spend our time in a dream

It's makin' me crazy

It's makin' me crazy//

Wind blew around him, pounding in his ears. He didn't open his eyes yet. He didn't want to know where he was and what state his body was in. He suddenly realized that he hadn't been breathing and he inhaled sharply. Breathing made him notice that he was outside.

~The hell??~

When he finally opened his eyes, he saw a gray-violet sky over the horizon. He was standing in the middle of the village, and the colors of the huts and everything else wasn't their usual hue. They were light brown and tan, even the trees and the clouds.

`Where am I?' Duo thought. He took a small step closer to the village's well. Something made him want to look down into it. When he did, he saw that the water at the bottom was pure black. It bubbled and sounded like it was growling. It sort of looked like it was trying to climb up the sides of the stone well, but something was keeping it at bay.

"That is your evil." A voice behind him said.

He turned sharply. He didn't see a pair of eyes staring straight at him, so he looked around to see who had spoken.

"Down here." The small voice said, sounding a bit annoyed.

Duo looked down and saw that it was a little girl. She had a familiarity to her. He stared at her for a while, gazing directly into her eyes which were an amazing light blue.

"Fooba, Duo-ponaas." She smiled.

~Um… fooba, little girl. Where is everybody?~

She looked sad and then pointed up to Duo's heart, "Here."

Duo looked down at where she pointed. ~Is Heero here?~

She smiled, "Sai ti untoni fa na."

Duo blinked, ~Fa na? Sooni ti da boon?~

The little girl smiled, "Yes."

Duo gasped, `What the hell did I just say??'

The little girl turned away and started to walk toward what looked like the chief's hut. She suddenly turned back around and said, "Thanks, by the way." And then she disappeared.

Before Duo could say any more, the village was suddenly filled with people. The brownish colors turned into bright vibrant golds and reds. Duo was at awe for a short time, and then noticed that the people around him were dancing. They moved swiftly around him in a circle, chanting something that he couldn't make out. they were all dressed in the traditional dancing attire, complete with painted masks so that he couldn't see their faces.

`Where…' He looked down and noticed that he was standing on a pit of burning coals. Strange thing was that he couldn't feel them. It was like his feet were numb.

The dancing stopped, and then a familiar looking body with a mask walked up to him. He stood on the hot coals with Duo about a foot away. He slowly took his mask off.

"Heero…" Duo murmured.

"Mi sai tiwi dai?"

"Of course I love you!" Duo grumbled.

Heero stepped closer to him, their noses almost touching, "Mi sai yoot tiwi dai??"

"Yes!!" Duo yelled.

"Mi sai?" suddenly, Heero slapped Duo across the face.

"Heero?" Duo gasped. Then Heero hit him in the chest. Duo could feel his chest begin to ache, almost worse then a heartburn. He was about to say something when Heero punched him in the breadbasket. Duo hunched over in pain, and then, without much pause, Heero grabbed onto Duo's shoulders to straighten him out and then he kneed him in the groin.

Duo's head snapped upward and he screamed.

Duo woke up screaming - sitting straight up in the bed he was lying on. His mind wasn't registering where he was and what he did last. It was still unfocused from the strange dream he had. But someone was there by his side, pulling him back down onto the soft fur covered bed.

"Relax, Duo… you're ok." The friendly voice of Trowa brought him back to reality and calmed him.

"Trowa?" his eyes darted back and forth, trying to figure out what just happened.

"You'll be fine. You've been given blood and your body is finally recovering."

"Finally? How long have I been out?"

"It's almost been a whole day. I was afraid we lost you, but you came through."

"I feel so weak…" Duo sighed. "And I'm hungry. Is there anything…" before Duo could say anymore, someone shoved a plate full of food at him. Duo stared down at the stuff and blinked a few times before he looked over to see who had just gave him the tray of food. "Heero!"

Heero smiled, "Duo ok? Duo eat?"

Duo smiled back at his handsome native, "Yeah. I'm starving!" he picked up the first fruit that he could get his hands on and bit into it.

"You're in my hut," Trowa was saying, standing back up from a chair. Duo didn't realize that he was sitting until he got up. "because Heero figured you'd be more comfortable on my bed. He was watching over you the entire time we carried you from the witch doctor's special hut."

Duo swallowed, "So… who did you get to give me blood?"

Trowa smirked. Without taking his eyes off of the longhaired man, he said loudly, "He's awake." A short, dressed up figure emerged from the hut's flap. Duo's eyes bugged out.

"Surprise!" Quatre said. The man didn't even look like the adult that he claimed to be. He looked way younger, even younger than Heero, and he had the brightest yellow hair that anyone had ever seen. But his hair was mussed up as were his shirt collar.

"Oh my god! I thought I'd never see you again!" Duo smiled wide.

"I became worried about you when I haven't heard from you for over four months and I decided to come looking for you." the blond pilot said.

"God… it's so good to see you!! But um… you look like you've gone through a typhoon! What happened?"

Quatre giggled, "Well, the natives have never seen blond hair before. They just had to… examine me." with that, he blushed. Trowa let out an uncomfortable cough in his hand, and then looked over at Duo.

"You need rest," Trowa said, going to stand over next to the blond man. He looked at Quatre, "And so do you. I'm sure that you've had a rough trip."

"I'm fine." He went over to sit down where Trowa once was.

"So when did you arrive here, Quatre?" Duo asked curiously.

"Yesterday. It was when you were hanging upside down."

Duo gave Trowa an accusing glare, "And you never told me that he was here??"

Trowa shrugged, "I thought it would be a nice surprise. It was a good thing that he did show up. He has the same blood type as you so it was easier on me. I didn't have to go around testing everyone's blood to find the right type."

Heero noticed that Duo hadn't been eating while he was yapping and tried to stuff another piece of fruit into his mouth. "Eat."

Duo chopped down on the fruit that looked like a plum.

"I'm so glad you're ok." Quatre said, eyes shining.

"Yeah," Duo chuckled, "Me too." Heero tried to force-feed Duo again, bringing the hand that held the fruit back up to his mouth. "Heero, I can feed myself you know!"

Heero glared, "Eat, love…"

Duo smiled, "You can eat me later. First I want to fill my stomach." He took another bite.

Trowa placed a hand onto Heero's shoulders, "Can I talk to you?"

Heero sighed, reluctantly getting up from Duo's side to follow Trowa out. Right away Duo caught the look that Quatre was giving Trowa as the green-eyed man left.

"Well, what do you think of him?"

Quatre jumped, "What do you mean?"

"Oh come on!" Duo laughed, "I know what your preferences are! And I saw the way you kept looking at him! Admit it, you really like him!"

"Well, I like him, he's nice. But I don't think that he likes me in that way. He seems to take a shine to you."

Duo snorted, "I have Heero. He's my husband. Well, technically I'm his concubine. But he loves me and I really love him. We aren't married by American standards but…" Duo sighed longingly, "I would like him to be. But Trowa's just a good friend, and I don't even know if he swings that way, ya know."

"Oh. Well you gave me quite a scare you know. Especially when I told you not to jump yet!" Quatre gave him a mocking glare.

"When I heard you yelling `OK', I thought you meant that it was ok to jump. And quite changing the subject! You always do that! especially when you're nervous about something!"

"I wasn't trying to change the subject!" Quatre huffed.

"You were too! Look! You're blushing!" Duo smiled.

"I am not!" Quatre flushed harder.

"You are TOO! And you lie when one of your secrets have been revealed!"

Quatre's eyes widened, his cheeks tint redder, "Oh I do not! Stop it, Duo!"

Duo snickered. "You've been like that for as long as I've known you. Anyways, I'm glad that you came looking for me."

"Me too. Otherwise I wouldn't have a cousin anymore."

Duo's eyes shimmered, "Yeah. Thanks for coming to check up on me."

"As usual." Quatre smirked. "So… how long have you been with Heero? And how did you get to be his concubine? I want to hear the whole story!"

Duo laid back onto the fur-covered mattress, putting his arms above his head, and closed his eyes. "It's kind of long, but I suppose I have some time to tell you."

"You should be eating too, to get your strength back."

"You're always worrying about me." Duo sighed. He reached over and grabbed a piece of dried meat.

"It's your own fault for making me worry. You're too daring." Quatre scooted his chair more forward so that he was much closer to him.

Duo moved over to his side to face his blond cousin, leaning on his elbow. He ripped off a part of the meat and chewed as best as he could. "I've always been that way, ever since we were five."

"And I always ended up taking the blame for some of the stunts you pulled!" the blond sighed, "This time you're taking the blame for ending up here!"

"Not a problem! I like it here." He bit off another piece of his dried meat. "So you want me to tell you everything, huh?"

"Right from the beginning… when you jumped out of the plane."

"Alright. From the beginning." Duo smiled.

"Trowa like golden-haired boy?" Heero asked, trying not to smirk.

"What do you mean?" Trowa asked as nonchalant as he could.

"Trowa want blond boy as con-cu… tiwina?" Heero was still having troubles with some words.

"As my concubine?" Trowa snorted. "I don't know about that."

"I can tell… he like you."

"Don't worry about it." Trowa sighed.

"You said, he blood re-related to Duo?" Heero scuffed his feet on his skin rug.

"Yeah. That's why they have the same blood type. Duo's sure lucky that he came."

"Yes. Duo lucky. I lucky too. I lucky that I have Duo. Duo is sweet."

Trowa smiled, nodding. "Yes. That he is."

"The blond… he seem sweet. He have nice hair. Nice eyes too. Trowa take him? Make him yours?"

Trowa blushed slightly, "I don't know. Us English people have different… customs. Different ways."

"Different?" Heero blinked.

"Not the same." Trowa explained.

"Oh! I see. You, Duo, and blond are not like us."

"The blonde's name is Quatre."

Heero blinked, "I know. But hard to say."

Trowa laughed, "Then just say Cat, or Catra. Which ever you prefer. Then later you might learn to say his full name."

"Cat. I can call him that. Cat is cute like Duo. I can see re… resem… I can see da relation." Heero sighed.

"Yeah. So can I." Trowa pushed off from the wall he was leaning against, "Well… I'm gonna go check on them. Duo should be ok enough to take a bath right?"

"Duo should wash, yes." Heero nodded. "I help Duo wash. Maybe you and Cat wanna wash too? We all men. I am not shy. I know Duo not shy."

Trowa smiled, "Yeah. After living here for a while one tends to not be as bashful. But I'm sure Quatre would be very shy."

"We will teach Cat to not be shy. Duo could teach him too. Then we all be in river to wash and talk. I will have many teach me English." Heero smiled coyly.

"Yes. I know that Quatre wouldn't mind helping you with English. He's seems like a good listener and he's very kind." Trowa wandered out the door. Heero stood up, stretched, and then followed his friend outside.
