"Duo..." Heero complained. He was pretty sure Duo had smeared that ice cream all over his mouth on purpose, not by accident. 'Why'd he go and do that? I thought we were both enjoying ourselves... Enjoying the moment...' A very *nice* moment. One that just yesterday would have been one of those awkward moments, yet today... Today, it was a thoroughly enjoyable one.
Or had been until Duo smeared ice cream all over his face.
"Oops... Sorry about that... Here, let me clean that up for you..." Duo offered, twisting around to face Heero. As his hands lifted to Heero's face, Duo grinned and said, "Wouldn't want to waste any, now would we?"
'Oh... So *that's* why he did it...' Heero's slight annoyance vanished as Duo leaned towards him. He could live with giving up that earlier enjoyable moment in favour of an even better one. And Duo kissing him definitely qualified... "No, we wouldn't," he breathed softly in response.
The tiny kisses that Duo pressed to the edges of his lips and the light tongue swipes that accompanied them tickled slightly. Tickled and tantalized.
Heero brought his arms up, one sliding under Duo's shirt, palm pressing firmly against the warm, solid muscle of his back. The other reached behind Duo's head, fingers sliding through his loose hair and cradling the back of his skull, urging him closer. Urging Duo to finish cleaning up the ice cream, quit teasing, and kiss him properly.
As Duo's lips finally landed solidly on his own, Heero followed an impulse. An almost instinctive urge. Something he'd read about but had never actually tried. He'd always thought it sounded sort of - well, *disgusting*. Not like something he'd ever want to do. He'd certainly never even been tempted to try it during that one kiss Relena gave him months ago. But somehow, with Duo kissing him, it didn't seem disgusting at all. More like something he'd really like to do.
Heero parted his lips and flicked his tongue across Duo's lips lightly, hesitantly. Seeking. Asking permission.
Permission that Duo granted, mouth opening slightly in invitation. Heero wasted no time accepting that invitation, sliding his tongue into Duo's mouth. Feeling the lingering coolness from the ice cream. Tasting the hint of strawberry. 'No, not disgusting at all...' he thought, 'just very... intimate?' Maybe. Though that didn't quite cover it either. There was definitely a large element of trust involved... He lightly traced the roof of Duo's mouth before withdrawing. Duo followed his withdrawal, tongue briefly exploring Heero's mouth before making its own retreat.
Heero drew back slowly, breaking off the kiss for a moment while he reached over to the coffee table. Running his finger around the inside of the discarded ice cream tub, he managed to scrape up a small amount of half-melted pink goo. He smirked mischievously at Duo. "Hmm, there seems to be a bit left here after all. Don't want to waste it..." He brought his fingers towards Duo's mouth, waited till Duo parted his lips, then...
Smeared the ice cream along the bridge of Duo's nose and down to his chin, completely missing his mouth. "Oops..." Heero snickered.
"Hmm, seems like you're the one with the mess to clean up this time," Duo laughed, wrinkling his nose slightly as the ice cream dripped off its tip.
"Seem to be..." Heero answered with a grin. As he leaned forward to begin his "cleanup task", Heero decided to make sure that they didn't forget to pick up ice cream next time they went shopping. Ice cream kisses were too much fun to miss.
